Live Child African Ministries Uganda (LICAM-UG) is a community development-oriented organization established by passionate development activists, children, and human rights advocates with a mission to foster unity, solidarity, and collective action. Our goal is to work hand-in-hand to address the pressing social issues affecting children, youth, and the wider community, and to contribute to sustainable development.
Founded on November 21, 2014, LICAM-UG was created in response to the many challenges facing vulnerable children and marginalized groups in Uganda. Our organization seeks to tackle issues such as child neglect, abuse, defilement, early marriage, street children, school dropouts, unwanted pregnancies, child sacrifice, and other forms of exploitation and injustice. We believe that by empowering children and youth through education, counseling, and support services, we can enable them to overcome these challenges and build brighter futures.
At LICAM-UG, we aim to make a lasting impact through our holistic programs in education, health, poverty eradication, and community development. Our work is centered on empowering orphaned and vulnerable children, supporting struggling families, and advocating for the protection of human and children’s rights. By partnering with local communities and engaging with stakeholders, we are dedicated to fostering environments where children, youth, and marginalized groups can thrive.
